The food was delightful. The young waitress doesn't seem to like her job. The sushi chef was perfection in every way, clean, cordial and perfection in food. I will definitely return and bypass the waitress who doesn't seem to want to work but will address you from across the restaurant rather than approach the customer to see what they need. She doesn't ask how you are or return to the table without searching for her even though the restaurant was near empty. I believe this restaurant would have lines around the corner with their food quality if the service were up to par at least

Amazing staff. Attentive, kind, and fast! The food was great. I loved the salmon nigiri! Back in for more. Great, caring staff. Tasty food, and quick service. The place has a local, neighborhood, family feel. It’s awesome. There is usually street parking up front. There is also a little lot behind the restaurant, on the south side of foothill; with the parking entrance just east of the restaurant. Plenty of space. Tons of tables and booths. There is also a sushi bar. The menu is expansive, and reasonably priced. There are also happy hour specials/menus!
Not very crowded inside with a pleasant atmosphere. The sushi is incredibly fresh and the calamari was delicious. Love the way they presented the Salmon sashimi on the shaved ice. The spicy tuna hand roll was phenomenal. Desserts were delicious, as well. Definitely recommend!
A sushi place close to my house that’s very inviting and cozy to eat. I like the fact that Zen is a family run restaurant, so I always try to support them by eating and ordering from this restaurant. Of course the food is good and the service is great as well. I would definitely recommend you trying this place.

I have been coming to zen for many years, and has a very special place in my heart. I used to go with my tennis coach very often. We usually Get the Mongolian beef and kung pao chicken. You could also order some thing called a double salad, which is basically two servings of salad in lieu of the soup that you get with your lunch meals. Zen offers a very good value for lunch, and the quality of the food is pretty good highly recommend going with a group of friends, since it can be very cost-effective. Food - 14/20 Service - 7/10 Atmosphere - 6/10 Total 27/40
Always great food and great service. I’ve been coming here for almost 10 years. The owner is really sweet and all the staff have been great. Good prices for the portions. Pretty easy to do family style or individual dining.
